Greice Schneider est professeure au Département de Communications de l’Université Fédérale de Sergipe (Brésil). Présentement, elle travaille au Département d’Histoire des Arts de l’UQÀM en tant que stagiaire postdoctorale. Elle est titulaire d’un doctorat en littérature (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) et d’une maîtrise en Communication et Culture Contemporaine (Universidade Federal da Bahia). Elle est l’autrice du livre What Happens When Nothing Happens: Boredom and Everyday Life in Contemporary Comics (Leuven University Press, 2016). Elle s’intéresse au champ des « études visuelles » (visual studies) et, tout particulièrement, aux relations entre l’image et la narration. Elle dirige le groupe de recherche Lavint (Laboratório de Análise de Visualidades, Narrativase Tecnologias) en plus d’être l’un des membres fondateurs de Rede Grafo (Rede Integrada de Pesquisa sobre Teorias e Análise da Fotografia).
Greice Schneider is a Professor at the Department of Communications of the Universidade Federal de Sergipe (Brazil). She is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Art History at UQAM. She holds a PhD in Literature (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) and an MA in Communication and Contemporary Culture (Universidade Federal da Bahia). She is the author of What Happens When Nothing Happens: Boredom and Everyday Life in Contemporary Comics (Leuven University Press, 2016). Her main interests lie in the field of visual studies, with a particular interest in the repports between image and narrative. She is the leader of the research group Lavint (Laboratório de Análise de Visualidades, Narrativase Tecnologias) and founding-member of Rede Grafo (Rede Integrada de Pesquisa sobre Teorias e Análise da Fotografia).
